Few states have any laws requiring additional steps be followed after a facial recognition makes someone a “person of interest” before arresting them though the software vendor’s license may have the caveat. Fargo ND police can’t issue an apology without providing the basis for the poor woman’s justified lawsuit. Technology run amok…
Adding to the “inhuman” factor… She was allegedly dumped out of the jailhouse without the proper clothing (North Dakota is COLD), no monies to secure a place to stay or find her way home.
The police chief quietly retired before allowing himself to be involved in any pesky investigations.
When last I heard (several days ago) a GoFundMe was created and at around 50k for the grandmother. The people end up paying the price AND the costs as per usual. Pensions should be up for grabs… Immunity be damned.

He was questioned plenty previously about a toxic environment with many leaving the force. The same happened at his last post, maybe that’s his specialty when hired.

What if these AI glitches are not accidents but intentional and designed to condition the human psyche to self censure, ones mind and behavior and to eventually accept AI decision making as authoritative, especially the older generations in the population, who stil dare to think for themselves.
The young ones have allready bought into AI.
I am taking it as an open threat, “We will get you, intentionally or by accident”

My city on the Front Range in CO against the wishes of all the citizenry , just ‘voted’ for the use of Automatic Licence Plate Readers on most of the major streets in town. We already had beaucoup discussions and protests against using Flock cameras and not wanting our lives tracked via face and plate, so the Proggy idiots on the Council, (I didnt vote for these ones, as if it matters) many of whom are new as in the last year (new Mayor too, of course a female librarian type with 2 last names), voted in the ALPR surveillance state anyway, but instead of using Flock, they voted to use Axon (the body cam company) as if that was really okay.
I think we should all black out our plates now in protest.

I did my due diligence for the local elections last year, all the while ‘knowing’ it was fruitless, but naively hoping. I checked each candidate for Council and Mayor’s website, checking for overuse of ‘red flag’ buzzwords, overly emotional stance, looking for logic and solid plans with what I agreed with. So I voted for 2 people not tied to any movements that had logical and local plans that were sound. Of course who we got were 2 milquetoast idiots tied to The Machine in Denver and endorsed by said…

I will proudly state that I have a fair amount of younger coworkers at my job, in the mid to upper 20’s age group and most of them don’t trust and also despise AI. It’s human nature to not trust something when you see how it malfunctions, and steals your job etc. They will occasionally use it for joke images though.
The medical cartel starts at arranging conception of humans all the way to arranging deaths for recycling of human remains. Quite the business model.
