I think a hard yes on the severing the Connection aspect.
I have an inkling that all these EM frequencies we are swamped with have a big dampening effect.
When I do my spiritual work in a darkroom with all devices off it is much stronger.
Not to mention the push to dampen the Light itself from the Sun, meanwhile it seems it’s radiation feels stronger?

I was reading in the backyard the other day with nary a cloud in the sky. After about 10 minutes I could feel the radiant heat of the sun causing a burning sensation on my legs. My skin was already tanned from previous natural vitamin D exposure without that sensation. I immediately went back indoors.
As for time, I’m in my early 70’s yet it seems not long ago when I was 20 something. Time flies when engaged in staying alive. Now that I’m retired, it still zooms while approaching the end of “the play”.

Me, myself pretty sure feel this shortening of time. I am used to stay vigil many times a year, and in the last decade somehow dawn comes just inexplicably ‘fast’. It’s like time is quickening and becoming less in volume, which is the point of the article. Candle-volume?
Time being shortened is in itself a woo-woo thing in the Bible, and most of the Bible-readers just dismiss, or step over it, never giving a second thought, but receiving such proofs is mind-staggering.
So time is not linear, consciousness is not local, and one may spend weeks in a dream between 6-9 AM Friday.
Somewhere I read that time is the way consciousness carves out of reality for itself, by the discursive intellect. Deeper/higher the consciousness, as it identifies more fully with its awareness aspect, it’s locality (originally fixed in timespace not to get lost and mad) gets more malleable, more transparent, and time unfolds (or reduces/eats itself as the ouroboros) in every possible way. So linear past/present/future time furls into one spiral roll, where everything happens all at once, where shortening or lengthening depends upon only which layer/level (from micro to macro) you choose of the unfurled rug…

see William F. Ogburn’s Social Change with Respect to Culture and Original Nature (1922). In short, when the culture / social machine (in our most recent unpleasantness driven by “technology”) “accelerates” it outstrips the ability of the institutions of the social machine to “adjust” to those changes brought about by the acceleration. Ogburn argues that the institutions of the social machine provide what he terms “cultural lag”. The “cultural lag” provides “time” for the social machine, specifically individuals of which the Social Machine is comprised, to consider, accept or reject, modify, adjust and adapt.

There is a spiritual teacher whose name is Harold Klemp who wrote about this back in early 2000’s (?) Don’t quite remember. Since I can’t find the book, I’ll do my best to paraphrase what was written.
In many esoteric traditions, including esoteric readings of the New Testament, there are inner dimensions that are as real as our physical reality. Writers have talked about them especially Hindu tradition. The counter to Dante’s inferno where he writes about the various levels of hell. Or think about St. Paul who wrote, “I knew a man caught up in the third heaven” Or think of Theresa of Avila who also talked about these states.
The lower worlds are the worlds of Energy, Time and Matter. The higher worlds, well, time space, and matter don’t exist. They are function of the lower worlds.
Each world has some kind of minor deity or God that rules over it. Somewhere in the lower worlds, I believe it is the causal plane, think where Edgar Cayce went to read the Akashic Records, there is some kind of cosmic clock where time is kept. There are keepers who maintain the integrity of time in the lower worlds.
At some point, and I believe it was in the 1990’s ?, the clock was sped up and we’re just finding out. Memo got lost in the mail.
The net net is Karma or cause and effect of earth has sped up. Therefore every person and collectives on earth are experiencing a speeding up of cause and effect thereby giving you more experiences in a lifetime and this is reflected in our speeding up of technology, newsflow, and all the unsavory stuff we talk about, thus increasing stress, fear and anxiety about the future.
First time I ever repeated this story in public. Why? Because it probably sounds nuts.

Thank you, Joseph, for blogging about this. I thought I was the only one who was noticing this and I wasn’t aware of your interest in this topic. I have been feeling this for a long time and, of course, when I say to people that “time is going faster”, their response is always “oh, that’s just because you’re getting old!” Well, I don’t buy their materialist STEM logic because I know what I feel.
I have noticed this in every facet of life. Lately (within the past several years), I’ve noticed that the faster I try to do things, the longer it takes and the more frustrated and angry it makes me. I see this at work (engineering) every day. The pace isn’t even frantic, it’s utterly insane. I’ve tried to rationalize it as data overload (i.e., data for the sake of data), but that’s not it. It is literally taking longer to do the exact same things and the faster you push it, it seems like it has a mind of its own and it pushes back even more (if that makes sense).
Over the past 2 years, specifically, I’ve lost most of my drive to do things because it seems like it takes forever to get them done - things that I’ve done many times. This is not me getting old, or materials changing, or quality and purity going down. This is something else. It’s been driving me nuts for years now.
Your speculation on this is very interesting. I would love to chat with more people who are experiencing this. You can’t even breach this topic with the normies because it’s just instant laughter and the same old “getting old” clichés. Thanks to all of the forum commenters on this topic as well. - toddb (a.k.a. toddber).

I must admit, the way it is put, it does not make too much sense to me. For the first, we should decide which kind of clock is the genuine clock. Why do we call day to be a day, month to be a month, etc. ? That is based on celestial mechanics, which is a clock itself, you could say the original one, because probably the oldest one known to man. If is something wrong with time, why does it not affect the soviet watches the same time it does affect candles (which you should be also able to use as watches) ? And related to what…the “celestial watches” ?
The soviet watches should be left aside anyway, because it is pictures (frames per second), and therefore it gets kind of messy.
I remember Rupert Sheldrake mentioning in one of his books, that according to measurement, maybe, just maybe, the speed of light could be changing a little…well, that could be something. It also depends…whether you call the speed of light to be a constant or the time to be a constant.
Or maybe God finally lost his temper with us, and decided to flush us down the toilet. And as we are cycling in the toilet bowl, we get to the point where the diameter is getting smaller and smaller, and we and our time are moving faster and faster, and to the black hole we finally go.

Since time moves, (one thing in relation to another), that question is foundational as far as external common measurements of time.
And then there is the internal inner perception of time. For me, it comes down to:
– As a kind of rhythm (based on revolutions and orbits in relation to the position of the sun and other stars — and like you suggest: the “original” celestial clock)
– As a kind of measure of change of any entity that is brought into, and then fades from, existence (thought, conception, birth, maturity, decline, death, recycling…)
It occurred to me that on a planet of 8.3 billion people, many of whom work (in some way or another) for technological “change agents” to maintain a civilization based on artificial constructs (and artificial values), that the sheer rate of change of everything about us, makes us feel disoriented. None of us live in any kind of natural world, and so everything we perceive relates to the artificial world in which we reside.

I assume its perfectly logical to make the assumption that time is going faster at the same rate the universe is expanding?
If at some point it cannot expand more, then the universe will implode (on itself)?
