The plan? Something similar to this…but not exactly like this…

…for the times when they come,AND i agree THEY WILL COME,if they’re not here already?!
…just out of sight of us ordinary people and still dormant, unactivated, at least not all of them,not yet.

Maybe she’s right. I agree with her opinion to some extent.
And one of the possible scenarios is this:
What they call becoming self-aware in the movies, on this topic, is actually what JPF on several occasions calls (if I remember correctly) transduction of an already existing, self-awareness, consciousness or intelligence (or what have you), of some kind, into the hardware.
When the hardware is sophisticated enough and perfected enough that this “thing” can be comfortably housed, incarnated and functioned in it.
That time is already here,i mean whatever the process,or scenario is, it is happening NOW!

Personally, I don’t think it’s avoidable, but that’s beside the main point I’d put forward, which is: Human psychology very, very strongly militates against taking action before the point of the most dire, utter, and intolerable necessity (sometimes not even then). I’d plan for scenarios where that tendency of human psychology plays out.
EDIT: I should add that I’m not totally confident in my own opinion, as I tend to have a pessimism bias, and there are some counter-examples in history. And abandoning all hope is by definition a losing strategy. The American Revolution is a counter-example, but that relied on a sufficiently unified and competent elite.

… trust me … actions are being taken now. As you can imagine it works a bit like Fight Club.
Only the rules have been altered to increase your … well you know.

In that case, I’m less pessimistic. I suppose those of us outside the club can always do something in their own little ways, and there are as many little ways as there are individuals. Grains of sand sprinkled in the gears of evil here and there, just one harmless little bee sting multiplied by a million bees, etc.

Inside those Mafia wars; are the algorithms; battling it out, to control the software.
Software that controls: infrastructure, weapons, robots, you get the idea.
Problem is; you on top of the heap one day…
