Thanks Reba, never heard of him but looking him up. Book looks good!
Very interesting lecture. I think I will ask the Doc an extensive question about it, even though I didn’t read his Magnum opus about God and dialectics yet. In islamic tradition we call antichrist a dajjal, so we have an eschatology of our own about it. Here’s a lecture from a shia point of view about the antichrist from Sayed Ammar Nakshawani. It has been deleted from youtube several times. There is also an interesting series called the Arrivals which talks about the antichrist
The webinar was good and helpful as those around me lean toward Pre-Trep and are just waiting.
I have JPF’s TOME, but have only read part of it, but yeah - it needs to be read. Will check out the Dr Sayed Ammar video - didn’t know Islam had an antichrist too.
There’s a long tradition of hadiths about dajjal-the false Christ in islam. Sunnis even seek protection from him in every of their five daily prayers. They also believe that Dajjal will be an individual with a protruding eye. I believe that Prophet Muhammad was speaking metaphorical and that he was describing a system.
I would suggest the work of Anglican Priest, Paul A. Wallis for a fresh take on what our place is in the Universe. He has checked out Indigenous Stories from many different cultures & finds they all contain a version of our Genesis Story.
He confirms something I have been questioning for quite awhile!! Why is the plural word, “elohim”, translated as singular “God” when it clearly is “gods”?! He brings in Mauro Biglino, Vatican translator, to help us understand the implications of mistranslations of what we have called, THE Word of God…why has critical thinking & logic been driven out of the Christian thought process???
the work of Mauro Biglino is professional and linguistically precise. and that is quite sure. this is what i can tell after studying Hebrew for 12 years at Christian and Jewish Academies. the DS could not destruct the original texts, and i had two wonderful (a Christian and an Isralite) professors, whose knowledge and heart were deep and wide and always helped in unfortunate times. possibly the two best Hebraists in my country. i feel very fortunate and blessed to have studied under them.
so as far as i can tell, Biglino is good. i read his work on the subject.
I know! The book I mentioned before Giants Sons of the gods by Douglas Van Dorn is blowing my mind. Giants (gigantes Greek; nephilim Hebrew) are all over the OT, including descriptions, and all over ancient texts. Then, of course, many skeletons have been found in North and South America only to have the remains collected by the Smithsonian, hidden somewhere, then the claim they never had them. These nephilim in Genesis 6 and elsewhere have different looks throughout Canaan and north into the area now called Turkey. Then there is their relationship to snakes/serpent/dragons. The Black Noble Savoies even have one in the family line, according to their family lore (not in Van Dorn’s book)
As children we are led to believe they are just fairy tales. There must be something very significant about them to go to such length in hiding the info.
No in this context. But there is one that can.And he had. Some kind of god he was.You know archangel gabriel was the messenger of the “good” news.Etc…
