Respectfully I say absolutism is folly Sir. I believe we will see resistance, but not only in traditional protest but in underground community.
Then I wish your family the best, Edinburgh was a very nice place in the eighties when I visited. As an european myself I am hoping the energy grid won’t be sufficient for all their concentration camp plans!
In defense of the protesters, I believe the measures against protesting is getting more gruesome. I heard chemicals are now also used.

… My wife and I visited Scotland recently. If you go be sure to go to Edinburgh and get out to The Isle of Lewis. It is overall an incredibly beautiful country. Everyone should visit. I promise you will not be disappointed. 
The “Troubles” (of a slightly different nature) have come for us all. Maybe we should take a page from Northern Ireland and Prepare Accordingly.
My mum was british and her friend scottish. Both families frequently went on vacation to Scotland & Eire from Belgium where we lived.

I believe there will be acceptance of digital ID’s but NOT created by the BLEEPing BLEEPholes who are pushing it. If they aren’t already actors in masks, they will be. No way Tony Blair gets passed by in the criminals for Gitmo crowd.
