… until this situation is brought under control we have no option but to reject the “doctors” and “engineers” as well … 0 immigration … no one for any reason … Stay and make your country better. Why can they not stay in their countries and apply their skills there and help their country improve? The answers I have been given when I have asked this question are amazing. My favorite … “The conditions in their countries do not allow for their country to be improved.” When I press somewhat and suggest that “conditions” is code for “culture” I am met with anger. The truth is that some cultures are better than others for certain social goods. I then continue, “Well, if that is true then we need to immediately stop all foreign aid.” It is clear from observation that no matter how much “aid” we give these countries (or for that matter in the USDSA / USAIPAC) the conditions never change. The "aid’ is always stolen. Remind me again where Suha Arafat has been living since Yasser died in 2004 … France, Tunisia, Malta … with no visible means of support. I am led to understand that transactions from Swiss banks are in fact difficult to see. What happened to those pallets of 100$ bills flown to Iraq? Between 2003 and 2004, the U.S. government airlifted roughly $12 billion in physical U.S. cash—much of it on wooden pallets—to Baghdad, of which at least $6.6 billion to $9 billion disappeared. 7-9 Billion … with a B … Poof. Please stop talking to me about “aid”. How about some aid for White Americans? How about using that money to create more American doctors and engineers? But I digress … The only “condition” that changes appears to be that breeding dramatically increases. In fact it could be successfully argued that in many cases our “aid” has actually made living conditions for the populations of these countries worse. I often give the example that as a child in Sunday School we collected change (for the Denomination) to send to African countries to help dig wells so that children like us could have fresh drinking water. But yet, still to this very day, there are still appeals in the media for funds to help people in Africa dig wells for fresh drinking water. Decades of aid of all kinds, both small and large, with no discernible large scale improvement in the aid recipients standard of living.
Then when populations are given "control’ to improve their conditions … Hey South Africa, Zimbabwe, how’s that been working out for you?
