Not that I am aware of. I specifically mean the ascension of Mary and the gradual replacement of Jesus Christ with the marial cult. Dormition is of course not included as it is not attributing any divinity to the mother of God. I do not believes that it qualifies as Hyperdulia at all. Which is why I think the schism between orthodox and catholic church continues, it is fueled partly by Mr Global who still can’t conquer the orthodox church.
Quoting French essayist and reporter Patrick Jean-baptiste who has many books on the topic of history of religion:
“Hyperdulia among Christians, that is to say the Marian cult, can be considered as a late evolution of the cult of Isis, the Egyptian goddess, but also of Anat, figure of divine virginity. » (Patrick Jean-Baptiste, Par tous les dieux!, Télérama, December 14, 2016)
The Catholic church had repeatedly to push back against this. Ever since the Templars through their associate: Bernard de Clairveaux were preparing the terrain for the modern day dispensationalist theology coupled with Hyperdulia.
