While reading the book Surveillance Valley, encountered the connection between the use of TOR to supposedly give anonymous IP addresses to prevent tracking and privacy.
Like CAF says hacking is possible for any computer program. TOR was a private network for CIA high level intelligence. But if only they used it, everyone would know the info was CIA so they opened it up to the Internet Freedom crusaders to provide a cover for covert activities. This guy with his MS degree in business from Penn State started a business using the anonymity of TOR.
Notice the penalty when he was busted.
The authorities were quite vindictive.

Huh I heard about TOR from the Guardian newspaper secure drop system which is for people to, supposedly, send in information to journalists anonymously. This makes sense that the CIA would use a system like this, usually routes traffic between at least three different countries.

CAF definitely has a lot of knowledge about the feds from her career, this is helpful insight about systems marketed as “secure for the people” when they are really built with backdoors for the established powers that be from the beginning.

I’ve heard very high levels of encryption at the “quantaum” level may in fact be impossible to hack with traditional computer systems, but only if they are developed by grassroots organizations not the enemy.

I just watched a story about this guy a few days ago. It took awhile for them to catch him and not without serendipity. I remember he hired a hit man to kill someone who was trying to bring charges for the overdose of his son (who would never have found the drugs anywhere else). That was the main charge. Embarrassing the law played no role in his stiff sentence.

The FEDS trumped up this man’s charges to include all kinds of garbage like assassination and murder, of which there was NO EVIDENCE. Plus, the FBI agents that penetrated the site STOLE hundreds of bitcoin for themselves.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT USED THE TOR NETWORK TO DISTRIBUTE THE LARGEST COLLECTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY DURING A “HONEYPOT” STING. THE server with the disgusting images was up and running for YEARS. And probably still is- maintained and operated by USA.

THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT MAINTAINS THE LARGEST COLLECTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN THE GALAXY.

The hitman story WAS MADE UP and never brought to court. YOU are INCORRECT and a moron for believing everything you see online.

BTW, child pornography was “prohibited” on the original silk road site.

The FEDS had the Child Pornography distribution racket cornered on TOR.

The internet was designed to organize data for counter insurgence purposes and is still used primarily for that purpose today.

The exact design specification of “organizing data”, is ACCOUNTABILITY.

Yeah there’s more than one way to silence a critic, just mess with their website and give it an error message with a number. Maybe the word ZOR triggered an algorithm?
