There is yet much fire in me. It’s the indifference of the masses, or at this point their failure to act that has left me jaded.
Recently I re-familiarized myself with “The Battle of Athens, Tennessee” from the mid 40’s where a group of veterans (eventually) led an armed rebellion against an entrenched and highly corrupt sheriff (eventually made senator) and his many deputized cronies.
It was interesting to me how long not only the townspeople but the seasoned veterans took to finally act. Even the hundreds of shakedowns and highly suspicious murder of a navy man returning home from the war wasn’t enough to spark the revolution on it’s own. The veterans only moved when they were exposed to the crimes individually, and through careful planning, gathered in numbers to attempt to ensure a fair election.
It’s worth reading the full account, but I’m given to wonder what took so long? To say the corruption was widespread would be an understatement. Where were the vigilantes? Why was the sheriff/senator not eventually put on trial and hung in the town square?
Obviously I see distinct parallels to our situation today, only the people are enjoying much more in scale, surveillance and subjugation than those men in 1946.
Nothing is black and white anymore and even the best of men have trouble discerning where to put their foot down…and stand.

For the same reason CAF points to the yellowstone series. Apparantly, in the series the question gets ask to the baddies of why? Answer, nobody ever pushes back!
In the end, I do think it has something to do with what JPF calls, there is more good then bad in the world, until humanity like frogs slowly got corrupted by the heating water. The water is now near boiling point and hence the multitudes predicament.
The corruption thru ideologies has been so succesfull, all of humanity is tainted to a degree. In that regard I find pointing fingers futile. All of humanity lives in brutal regimes with many hating each other with all that entails as a result!
Better question is, why are there still individuals seeing thru the fog of ideologies and is it important? Then I tend to think yes, remember Judges 7:7 And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
Maybe I am influenced by the enthusiasm of CAF’s outlook on life. It kept her a busy beaver in life, that’s for shure! Whatever, I believe “crunch time” is here and with some Divine help humanity still has a chance.
Someone should FOIA the relevant sources, this feels like the emergence into the sunlight of the realpolitik between the two countries which may have existed for some time now. It would be interesting to find out just how much in practicial terms this has been the case. nad for how long, And like exotic technology, the work can only be disclosed, preferebly on a gradual basis otherwise the herd mind look up to critically from the grass and see the farm and the new farm tech…and we are entering the final laps of marathonian like plan. So perhaps the veils may fall as the anticpation may be that we have crossed an event horizon of some nefarious sort.
