Do ya tell your vendor you enjoy the peanuts while watching cowboy and Indian movies?
Oh Lord no… I keep that on the downlow. I’m not sure he’s forgiven me for “littering” yet:
Can’t risk making him angry and disrupting my supply lines. Besides…with all the fentanyl out there these days…not sure if smoking the peace pipe would be in my best interest…
(Jokes people… We can joke about ANYTHING)
Funny thing is on the daily walks around the neighborhood with my two dogs, I pick up trash I see in the drainage cutters, along with any droppings from the dogs. (I keep four plastic grocery bags in my pockets for that purpose.). Since most folks leave their trash bins permanently on the sidewalk, disposal is easy.
When I first moved into the neighborhood eight years ago, the litter was bad from folks tossing drink containers etc. Now the walks and neighborhood have much less litter due to the daily policing and are much more pleasing aesthetically.
It may be in my blood…My dad’s father left his Indian reservation in Oklahoma and assimilated, even married a nice strong German girl. Plus my father retired from my hometown’s sanitation department. He drove the trucks, booth the garage and the refuse flatbed. That was before a CDL license was required. Since he never learned to read or write that would have been a deal breaker.
