Sad but true I fear. It takes me back to the early 90s, when I was invited by a church to give a talk on the dangers of the religion of peace and brotherhood, and most of the assembled hierarchs thought I was “too hard” and “too alarmist”, and my protestations that they had forgotten their own history and commemorations on their liturgical calendars proved them wrong, which, of course, fell on deaf ears too. Now, I take small comfort in saying “I told you so…:”
