Well, over here we’ve never been citizens, we are subjects of a mysterious entity called The Crown. It’s not exactly the King, Parliament, or even the Privy Council, but we’re all subject to it. Tom Paine - an Englishman - is one of my political heroes, by the way.

Even before the contrived immigration from the third world, Europe was on it’s way to depopulation due to the crashing birth rate. Same thing going on in USA. It’s so expensive to raise children in the current standard (which is wildly bloated) that middle class couples can’t afford children. Back in the day, kids weren’t so expensive. One more small meal at the table, hand-me-down clothes bicycles etc. Sports club memberships, new uniforms every school year, snazzy car so kids aren’t embarrassed being dropped off at school etc are of our own creation. “I want my kids to have what I didn’t have” has taken us down this path.

I remember reading a story about Europe converting churches into night clubs years ago.
Just like the WEF proposed, government without elections driven by AI. Hope they keep their Microsoft patches up to date.
