Despite all the supposedly high tech surveillance the government has, they had no idea of this guy?

What if we have the President finally attend one. It’ll make a fine perception piece regarding his fake hostility towards his fake news image. We’ll control the situation so the President only has to show up, then we’ll whisk him away after a few shots are heard before the press’ pillorying starts.

Yep, untold thousands of posts within the first two hours calling it political theater.
Wired already wrote an article on it.
“Hundreds to thousands of posts on X (and similar discussions elsewhere) call yesterday’s (April 25, 2026) White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting a “false flag,” “staged,” or conspiracy—mostly within the first 24 hours”
So NOW untold millions of people have read these articles/tweets/video’s/blogs.
The first post I could find calling this political theater was just two hours after the incident.
The data collectors know what we think. Probably every post cataloged and run through the data center.

… the real problem is not any individual event … the “skepticism” is cumulative from being lied to by the government about so many events for over 100 years. Add to this the fact that the “media” have been controlled as well. Doing Epistemology concerning events in “the public sphere” has become almost impossible.

And historians incorporate the government lies in history by default or on purpose creating a snowball going down hill effect. Any deviation by scholars could get them booted out of the club. When journalism was corrupted and censored original sources evaporated leaving narratives. Even the ancients had similar issues.
