I have to watch this for 3 seconds to tell you what Sergey Bakylkov would say to this video. The majority of YT “alternative media” are young Russians with an axe to grind for the lack of woke-ness in Russia. This guy would be picked out for a bit of harassment as he is very much out of place in a Russian crowd.
It’s always what someone else says…
Been there. Have friends there. They say crime up.
1420 is a US channel! NOT a Russian channel! Caution advised as it often smells of propaganda!
Haven’t listened yet.
But, there is a long history of that.
I certainly think it hasn’t changed over night.
Will listen now
Organized crime did not start when Soviet union collapsed; although, it certainly became obvious during the programmed demolition. In fact, flourished as host stated.
The war in Afghanistan also increased organized crime’s influence.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if organized crime didn’t affect the decision to go to war in the first place; both in the USSR & the USSA.
Looks good[left off 1:06/marker for me]
Forgot to let you know that I’ve lived there and worked there.
The point is: Crime is UP, according to my friends who still live there.
In any kind of autocracy, including military, and Russia is slowly becoming one, crime on average citizens rises up, always without a fail. Same thing on the other side of border in the Ukraine.
What some might not realize that when many young, strong men are conscripted, this leaves families/homes unprotected, whether it’s in Russia or The West. Burglars, thieves, drug addicts, etc. are very good at avoiding conscription and police authorities in Russia, much more so than here in U.S. In Russia, criminals might not leave jail alive; among some groups, they’ve got real hardcore skills. Regardless, criminals have a field day when young men are absent and there’s less protection of the population, no matter where it might be.
