Here in Pennsylvania we go with āMums the wordā. A lot of us buy from our local farmers with out it being advertised. I havenāt bought meat from a chain grocery store for many years. You pay more with the farmers which means you pay for what you get.
Side note: I only buy meat with the bone in.

@thebeaver I still have a hard time eating lamb and veal. The private meat stores around me know husbandry very well and I personally do not have to eat meat everyday. Growing up my father always had to have meat, vegetable and potato at the dinner table plus he would have a salad and bread & butter. Needless to say dinner menus have really changed since then.
Side note, I do miss veal scallopini and lamb chops with mint jelly.
