one of the constraints on DJT intervention is IR threat to mine the strait of Hormuz. Two bad things from this; 1. like 15-20 pct of world oil supply flows out of it and would send world markets into a tizzy. 2. One of the US naval fleets is in the gulf which would trap them inside it.
The carrier presently steaming that direction from the far east is 50 yrs old and scheduled to scrap in 2026. Bringing up speculation it would be an ideal candidate for a false flag attack/sinking to excuse US taking kinetic action in IR.
Lots of moving parts.

… given recent Russian Naval experience with drones … probably not wanting to throw newer equipment into the area.
