Speaking of getting off the board, I am in my ‘own’ house for the first time, and besides the bank owning it, (don’t you love that question, ‘do you own or rent?’ neither lol) in looking to move to a detached dwelling, it seems like it is not only impossible to find proper detached houses these days, but it’s also impossible to find a place not infected by HOA’s.

Just try and think of the bank or friendly neighborhood tax collectors as “non-paying co-tenents” that are always looking after you…to be fair, they’re just lying in wait for you to lose your wallet…in which case they’ll promptly confiscate your dwelling and you’ll be looking for a new one…perhaps under a rock…a Blackrock
The idea of owning anything on the planet is a sham. We come here with nothing and leave with nothing…if what we accumulated was really ours, we’d be able to take it with us. 
While that’s true, the argument is that “they” are doing their level best to prevent the transfer of generational wealth…unless it’s THEIRS.
One of the benefits of a family is the (attempted) carrying on of ones genes, wishes, standards in the way of a family line. A sort of attack on mortality itself. If we have to “start over” and rely on whatever government is in place to find a value system…well… you know where this is going
