A Chinese Satellite Just Grappled Another And Pulled It Out Of Orbit

The maneuver raises concerns about the potential militarization of satellites designed to inspect, manipulate, or relocate other satellites.

AChinese satellite was observed grabbing another satellite and pulling it out of its normal geosynchronous orbit and into a “super-graveyard drift orbit.” The maneuver raises questions about the potential applications of these types of satellites designed to maneuver close to other satellites for inspection or manipulation and adds to growing concerns about China’s space program overall.

On January 22, China’s Shijian-21 satellite, or SJ-21, disappeared from its regular position in orbit during daylight hours when observations were difficult to make with optical telescopes. SJ-21 was then observed executing a “large maneuver” to bring it closely alongside another satellite, a dead BeiDou Navigation System satellite. SJ-21 then pulled the dead satellite out of its normal geosynchronous orbit and placed it a few hundred miles away in what is known as a graveyard orbit. These distant orbits are designated for defunct satellites at the end of their lives and are intended to reduce the risk of collision with operational assets.

While China is being central in discussion on the international stage, what do people think of Edgar Cayce saying it will be the cradle of Christianity? I remember the battle cry of the Hong Kong protests being, “Sing Hallelujah to the Lord.” How can that possibly be with such CCP crackdowns on the church?

the more they crack the Church, the more powerful it gets. “the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church” - said Quintus Septimius Florens Tertullianus.

My cousin taught English at a school in China for years. She cautioned me about sending things through the mail there cuz they really back then censored western materials, and her being a foreign Chinese speaker her mail was always checked, but she could send pretty much anything out. Now this was in the late 90s early 2000s and I asked her about the Bible, and she said bibles were fine as long as they were printed in China. She went to church regularly and got a very true to the word gospel, and christianity was growing, now under President Poohbear, they’ve gone full psychotic even rewriting the Bible itself, not just censored translations. One Catholic Priest said half his church don’t even know who Jesus is.
