I really am enjoying some of Felix Hell’s interpretations, and this one of JS Bach’s Fantasia and Fugue in G Minor has become one of my favorite interpretations of the piece since I discovered tonight on my post-blogging music search. (I usually prowl YouTube for performances and interpretations of organ pieces that I like). The Fantasia is, of course, one of JS Bach’s darker pieces, and Hell does it justice. The well-known fugue is pure energy and exuberance, and Hell’s tempo and more importantly, registrations do both sections of the piece credit. He shows off the wonderful colours of the old Schnitger organ in Groeningen very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0W--COZJMk

Thank you for posting this - I really enjoyed it.
I have been getting into more classical in my old age; I am at the ripe old age of 41 years old!
I think I enjoyed the Fugue part more than the Fantasy, with the ‘galloping’ around
