A glimmer perhaps ....for the farmers in the EU

The Mercosur programme was initially design3ed to allow foodstuffs and meats which were intensively raised, where unknown prescriptive antibiotics and illegal growth hormones were used, into EU area.

However, after all EU farmers organisations sent tractor borne protest groups for the last fortnight or so, daily spraying slurry on different EU buildings and EU commissioner residences and protesting to bring Brussels to a halt, we have had this announcement to stall the Mercosur Agreement which was to be ratified this week.

With more push hopefully it can be radically altered to meet EU food safety standards or refused in time.

Thank God.
I miss the Dutch farmlands from my youth.
I hope all European farmers hold onto their sovereignty ,their freedom to practise logical farming, and of course their land and livestock.
