A very good read on historical connections between Christian Evangelicals and the growth - the promotion? - of Zionism. That history goes back further than I knew, if the evidence presented is reliable, and it appears to be; it’s a morass of competing interests, including US oil interests involved in the funding of the Scofield Bible, and in land purchases in Palestine. Babylons’ Bankers are ‘all in’ of course, lol! The reality is that the Evangelical ‘push’ is with us today, supporting a Zionist genocide, hoping for Armageddon. Just maybe, articles such as this might be shared…this is one topic that really needs a serious discussion…that whole Eve of Destruction idea is gaining momentum

It kind-of rambles at first to set the stage but then becomes a thorough and well documented presentation of how the ‘state’ was created. Much I’d seen/heard before but some of the specific literary references were new to me.

Beatthedrum: I talked about the relationship between the Scofield Reference “bible” and oil interests in the little Lulu book Yahweh the Two-Faced God. But yes, that relationship is there, and it’s very strange. There are dispensationalist ideas as early as Joachim of Fiore, and I review those briefly in the third volume of God, History, and Dialectic.
Yes, I have your book Joseph - the Lulu one, and yes, that is where I learned of that more or less direct relationship…I had read some other sources, but yours just came with better references lol! My post was motivated by the article itself…whilst it isn’t comprehensive, it does cover the history of the relationship between Evangelicals and Zionists in enough depth to be useful especially for anyone who has not dug deep into this very relevant topic; today’s events in Tehren, with Israel once again unilaterally attacking Iran, make the whole topic very immediate and relevant!. I saw news earlier this week suggesting Iran had hacked IDF systems and now have full knowledge of the location of Israel’s nuclear stockpile, which, if true, may explain this latest rush by the Zionists to strike while they think they may still have a chance of taking out Iran’s nuke facilities. My son contacted me from Australia very early this morning (his time), to tell me of the attack…my son, 37, new home owner, newly married, pretty much totally focused on all of the things you would expect of a young person in his position (he has a music career as well as his work career), is clearly feeling the tension. We await the response of course…I could be a bit cliched and say we are in ‘interesting’ times; frankly, I’m scared, knowing that the push for an Armageddon is real and ongoing.
Fear or no, it won’t stop me trying to ‘understand’ the threads that connect events of today with events of the past; I am rereading your great history book on ‘The Janus Age’ and remembering all of the threads that connect that are covered therein…the whole Templar/Venetian connection, and how their knowledge of the New World may have had a major influence on world events over most of the last millennium.
