I love the Christmas Oratorio, though I prefer the fifth chorus, “Ehre sei dir Gott”

I enjoy watching how animated some of the musicians and choir become while performing. I played in a small brass ensemble when I was ten and remember becoming the same way while playing some pieces. Don’t ask which ones, that was 45 years ago and the music lessons ended when the school year was over. I also sang in our small local church choir as teen. Unfortunately, I never continued down either path as an adult…it wasn’t “the thing to do” in those days as I recall, then life happened.

It’s never too late to get into music or to pick it back up. I have found that it is a myth that children learn faster than adults.
