When G.K. Chesterton died, Pope Pius XI sent telegram offer. condolences to “The People of England”, not the family.
I don’t know what to think. All I want to do is cook food and have my son live long enough to not be procured to war. I guess there is no safety net for that. It’s the lot you get. Maybe I should pray he beats rats off the front porch and grows into a humble Putin. Or maybe I pray we’re cut down by the leadership we honored, and he’s taken to a camp and grows resentful like Xi Xianpeng. Survival a dish best served cold I guess.
