maybe its because they are attempting it to be generally good at everything but not expertly good at one thing,
Take Apple’s woke maps, where they put thousands of dollars imitating a female negro voice, but it can’t pronounce the street names correctly.

They need lots of power/data and are extremely thirsty.
Freedom busting is; after all, an expensive endeavor.
Especially, one with a globally dogged, leash & collar reach.

I am waiting to download an AI app that launches itself against spam phone calls emails and junk mail. We can put (perhaps) a man on the moon but we can’t stop spam, junk mail, robocalls. And we can’t make an adhesive that keeps shoe soles attached to their tops either. As others have said, its too soon for an everything for all uses AI application. I expect a boom in specialized apps where smart people figure out how to actually make it do something for specific use cases.
