Well AI such as “Grok” was born out of a Heinlein novel Stranger in a Strange Land. And is quoted as meaning to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed — to merge, blend, intermarry, lose identity in group experience derived from the sharing of the scarce resource of water on Mars. The issue here is who is the observer, fine if it’s human, concerning if Musk’s “Grok” is philosophiocally designed to observe, dissolve human identity to merge with it’s (Grok’s) own identity which other AI platforms do right now. In order words to “to understand intuitively or by empathy, to establish rapport with”, and “to empathize or communicate sympathetically (with); also, to experience enjoyment” 1. and to be the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

… the question I wonder about is: Why would you even allow for the programming to have the possibility of replying in such a manner? It would seem that the programming could be done so that the options of killing oneself or others is not allowed.
An exercise for when “opting out” is not allowed in the scheme of things? “If this person talks about it, have him kill himself .”
