ALABAMA JOINS FLORIDA ON LAB-GROWN MEAT BAN

K.M. spotted this story about Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signing a bill into law making lab-grown meat illegal and a misdemeanor in Alabama, and it’s worth nothing because it represents, I suspect, a trend. We’ll get back to that idea and my high octane speculation in a moment, but first the story itself: Lab-grown meat…

I would not worry to much as US citizens. Europe will be ground zero as the US lab-dog for everything. Next to being besieged by US army bases we will be getting the other goodies too. Europeans are up for the alter of Moloch but its citizens have not catched on. I don’t think CAF will be saying much longer how better the food is in Europe!

Most of the food in Netherlands is grown in greenhouses and is terrible as far as nutritional values. I also never could understand why she was saying these things about their food.

@QVBB
Frankly, no. Lots of our food is not grown in greenhouses. Our produce of many farmers is top notch. Europe is betrayed by its own politicians and besieged and occupied by a foreign actor. It will result in the same treatment the Ukrainians are getting; lab rats & cannon fodder.

Excellent news. We need more sanity.

I think the EU has stricter regulations on pesticides and food additives, so as a result the food is ‘cleaner’. The nutrition is good because there is more emphasis on freshness. And food travels less distance.

I think most people will reject fake meat. Beans and lentils are versatile and reasonable substitutes and are good part of a balanced diet which includes meat.

Fake cheese is also disgusting. Though cashew butter is decent.

Isn’t it amazing how the insects go after good food and avoid processed food.

Yesterday a frog got in the house because if you leave the door open too long in Florida a critter will join you.

I spent some time trying to figure out how to humanely transport the frog back outside. I failed.

Within minutes of the frog’s demise swarms of previously unseen tiny ants were all over the frog. Dramatically. :frog:

I am not convinced about that. I often visit my family in Poland and veggies and fruit from NL are shone upon and avoided in local farmers markets. Tasteless, no aroma. Number one product that Duch and German import from Ukraine is…their soil for transplants.
