What is it with these obsessions over sovereign disputes and claims to territory? When the Chinese wanted to go all-in to communism was when warfare broke out between the Chinese people. Over the years Japan helped Taiwan’s military with the means to develop a nuclear weapon. It was for a good reason since Japan also has good reasons to distrust both China and America ever since 2 nuclear weapons were deployed over Japanese cities resulting in millions of dead Japanese. The North Koreans have also been ‘marked’ for eventual destruction by China with that dispute going back many centuries. So we really are into WW3 territory.
