Is it just me, or hadn’t Kennedy and Kruschov already concluded a secret deal by then, wherein the USA promised not to place nuclear missiles in Turkey, thus avoiding the crisis?
Correct! They were removed as a result.

The briefest of internet searches shows it is happening right now and is being livestreamed on the internet. Russian Federation are accused the US of creating biological weapons capability right next door to EU, entrusting it to unstable ultra-nationalist groups in the Ukraine and quoting article 5 of Geneva Convention.
I had to move on to something else when the amazing statements by the Albanians got started. Their ambassador is calling the RF delegation liars and conspiracy theorists. Skirpal and Assad got a mention too. It sounded like a script written in Washington.
