An Old Utilitarian Governance Technique Revitalized for Data Centers

Currently reading a book about philosophical radicalism during the Enlightenment period, found this concept (artificial identification of interest) utilized in Utilitarianism by our good friend Jeremy Bentham and his ilk to trick knaves like us to do what they deem the greatest good…Seems a perfect fit for why the investment of trillions of dollars in data centers to gather information about the populace.
The panopticon using data, instead of Jeremy’s beloved prison building design.

Ironically the above was AI generated…

Here’s the book where the idea was found.

… along similar lines … look into the claim that the images obtained from Guthrie’s (disconnected and non paid subscription) NEST ring camera were obtained “from the back end”. Spoiler alert … did you really think that they were not spying on us? Put this together with the Ring Super Bowl Search Party find your dog ad … they are just about there with the AI Panopticon.

Excellent… /whisper: Have these gentlemen seek me out at the Prancing Pony…where I’ll be enjoying a long smoke with the owner, Butterbur. Seek me out in the corner of the room…Taller than some, fairer that most

I’ve heard of this but didn’t watch the game. It’s getting a good amount of negative press:

This guy reminds a bit of ol’ Remus from the Woodpile Report… perhaps more boisterous and a bit less studied.

… the NEST appears even more insidiously evil. Records and stores whether you pay or not. According to techno folks … it appears once it is in its always in and on.

Little did we realize what life was like for the Jetson cartoon household. The downside was not included in the dialogue.

If my UFO doesn’t come with this sound it WILL be added  Just wouldn’t be the same…

“Substations…”

Regardless of how the mainstream media is painting this one…my suspicion meter is pegging in the other direction.

Here’s a snippet of the comment section as is my wont:

Looks like a bullet hole in the windshield.

makes absolutely zero sense.

Why are we not knowing his identity??

Doesnt make sense

None of this makes sense.

Why drive there specifically? It’s a long ways for something he could have found up the road.

Sliver lining is that he could’ve taken a bunch of people with him but he didn’t.

He was in. Why would he off himself? He wasn’t under threat. He could have blown something up. Something’s fishy here.

Remember that dude that “parked” his tesla infront of a hotel in vegas? That was also a fishy story.

Dawson Maloney, of Albany since the media won’t do its job

Makes absolutely no sense….

Usually went it makes zero sense the 3 letter agencies are involved

Strange seems to me more of a statement than a actual event all of the spools of wire just happened to be there to stop them and then what about description of background of subject?

… to paraphrase the Grateful Dead, “What a long strange trip it is turning out to be”.
