The Boa Constrictor Strategy. They’ll put the squeeze on again after phase 2 (or whatever) is set-up and it’ll be worse restrictions than the original. (As they remove food, fuel, materials and other items from the population.)
Nobody can prove a claim as to why AU & NZ are getting hit so hard, but think many of us have some ideas.

Here in the UK looks like we are getting a new leader for round 2.

Maybe they’ve given up getting everyone vexed and culled. The war drums are beating. Perhaps a nuclear WWIII is their culling plan B?
