They say methanol dilutes quickly and poses no hazard. Methanol is used to make fertilizer. The locks will be closed until further notice. In 2018, a similar event occurred with coal barges; took six months to fully resolve.
With closed/blocked locks, what happens if Weather Incorporated delivers deluge upstream?
