Got it…then he should say that. “I was the President but I caved to public opinion because it was easier than doing the right thing” What would JFK have done?

This isn’t a novel defense; even I’ve tried to put myself in DJTs shoes and thought much the same, with a couple of exceptions. First, I don’t know what went on behind the scenes. Was some sort of threat made, veiled, or otherwise? He essentially left the vast majority of processes up to States with regard to mandates, excluding employers who mandated. Terrible thing, but thought that odd, not sure he could have prevented that. Remember that DJTs brother, who pretty much ran his campaign, died in August 2020. Threat delivered on? IDK.
THE absolute giveaway that something was terribly wrong was the shutdown of small businesses while larger corporations such as Walmart, Home Depot and others stayed open! And how about those ‘essential businesses’? That was a total crock! 
(Oopsie, my profanity showing.) Even the kids in my neighborhood laughed at that one. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to recognize something terribly amiss. EVERYONE noticed this, everyone. Upon hearing of this (and you can be sure he did), DJT should have come out and said to open it back up and explain his reasoning. Give States the okay. From kids to grandmas. If small business has to close, then so should corporations. This all might have taken place behind the scenes, nobody really knows. I think this would have resolved it right away; those big biz still open would not have tolerated that.
In October 2020, Trump goes to Walter Reed, allegedly for Covid. I say allegedly because being gone for just a couple of days with treatment for the alleged low blood O2 readings that were reported, etc. is as doubtful as it gets, not to mention him walking up the stairs after returning to WH; he wasn’t struggling during that climb. Who did he talk with? Who did he meet with? Another lameness that most didn’t believe. (When kids notice these things, I pay attention.)
I can understand why DJT did it, but he should have seen the scam a lot earlier (maybe he did) and put an end to it. Trump has pulled enough scams in business, etc. to know one when he sees one. He should have taken the flack for us and put a stop to it.
I have to wonder if what the guy said to Cullen might be true? What FBI might have been truly looking for at Mar-a-lago was straight up evidence of the real story about Covid, real documentation, leaving no doubt? You have to wonder; and it took an ex-MTV host to come up with that hypothesis! LOL! Whatever it is, DJT still has it, and seems they’re trying to keep him away from it. Not sure that’s going to work…
