Folks I hate to say it but another line of storms is headed my way… so if I don’t show up for a while it may be because power lines and trees (the bad one in my front yard) are down again. Prayers/good thoughts for my struggling neighborhood and city!
UPDATE: This is unbelievable… another storm, with strong gusts (not like what we had last Saturday,) but now the gusts come from the opposite diretct
The “straightline” winds sound more like coastal phenomena, and it is curious that they were directed at your county( specifically?) . One way to get rid of old growth trees in a hurry, one supposes.

We just had one pass through here… or, well, we are still in it. My Albertan partner says they have the kind of storms you described about once every 5 years or so. It is blowing here, I will have to assess the damage to my garden in the morning but I did see one tomato tower is on its side and the zucchini plant was waving madly when I went to retrieve a hanging pot and a flying lawn chair.
Dear Joseph, I hope you will be safe and if you have to reschedule, just do so without hesitation. We Gizars will not abandon ship but will be with you through the storm.
