Another round of rain expected to flood hard-hit counties near Houston

Harvey dropped about 50 inches of rain, which did a bang up job of washing away the soil. With about half the amount of rain, this has been almost as bad as Harvey. According to some of the dam levels, even more water than Harvey has overtopped in some spots.

I believe the numbers reported are actually lower than what’s fallen, but they always ‘adjust’ the numbers later. More water coming downstream as it makes its way to The Gulf. At this time, the predicted level over river bank is as high as 93 feet in some places.

Our thanks and the high sign to the weather mod evil empire for helping to boost this mess. Fires and floods, Texas always seems to get both.

Yeah. I am here in Houston this weekend and downtown was just let off the hook but north of us was nothing but thunder and downpours. Same in the Hill Country. My ranch got .5" while 20 miles away got 5.5" and washed RVs into the river.

Be careful going home. More rain expected, probably tomorrow.
