She’s not elected and no citizen has a say in or gets a vote. She is selected by the Council of Europe, a hold-over since the EU Commission was a Trade Commission. Its like North Korea, only one candidate is placed for a vote by the EU Parliament. The alliances within the EU parliament parties are the same alliances which for example unalive AfD candidates during elections and freeze AfD bank accounts. The problem were the Lisbon and Single European Acts referenda across EU. This was the transfer of sovereignty and the teeth. The teeth don’t exist. So what needs to happen id a complete reform of the EU structures back to some thing like it was under EEC terms, or dissolution of the whole. What may happen is a two tier structure, one which remains for the EU insiders and one for those who just want to trade and move freely through both tiers of nations per the EEC terms.
