Although it doesn’t state outright, the inference is that the 90 yr. old was flying the plane. Guess it’s the way he’d want to go. Reminds me of a line from a film, “They went out with their boots on”.

Here we go, dark side of the moon makes news again. He must have seen there something they try to hide desperately. Question is whether he arranged himself this plane crash or somebody got to him first.

Whatever happened, it looks like it was sudden; the plane went pretty much straight down.
