However if anyone is so disenchanted that they think not voting and allowing Marxist terrorists to regain control of the U.S. they need their heads examined. Noting much agreement with, regarding this administration, the disappointments I cannot punish it by turning this country back to the lunatic fringe of 2000-2024. Though I always agree w/ Ms. Fitts and the battle to combat the aptly named beast system I have been aghast at her inability to see the Tucker/Massie et al operation to undermine Trump and usher back in these psychos. She can’t be that naive. The left will usher in something exponentially worse financially but not before a complete EU style final destruction of all sovereignty here. Understanding the tremendous individual support of Solari fighting for those strengthening parallel systems for freedom the editorial tone had been quite off-putting. There is complete justification for the UNiparty, get it?, hatred but there is definitely more nuance to what protects Americans from EU-style fascism. No… “honest election” is a misnomer. Less corrupt could be a possibility…using programmed computers for voting “unites the left wing cyberpunks worldwide”.
… at this point there is no reason to believe that entirely paper driven elections would be honest. Honest (as you say, less corrupt) elections belong to a world that no longer exits. The sooner the Apocalypse occurs the sooner the rebuilding can begin. There is no ability to “reform” the system at this point.

For me, an honest election would mean a viable 3rd party candidate is on the ballot and is capable of securing double digit+ of the electorate.
Both sides play games with vote redistricting, absentee balloting, etc. but the most egregious slam I can remember to the democratic (small d) process was, IIRC in 2016 the Dems went nuclear on the Green Party, and the Clintons and their henchmen had the Greens throw off the ballot in a number of states, maybe 8-12 states.
The Repubs are constantly watching and picking off their flanking contenders on the Right, the Austrian school economists, “Hard Money”/Mises followers, Ron Paul/Ross Perot independent types.

My brain cells assigned to storing historical trivia are shockingly low, but I seem to recall the '92 election was not even the most disruptive instance in American history of a 3rd party candidate doing precisely what they’re meant to do (break the stranglehold of the 2 party system on American politics). I believe it was the second presidential run by Theodore Roosevelt that was the most extreme case of splintering the electorate in history, but I’ll “Google that” after writing the thread.

I don’t disagree but Clinton, with all due respect, was created by the Bush cabal in Arkansas. A tremendous operation to promote him as some JFK clone. Saw it first hand. They hedge their bets. Although, here in Canada, there is a very dishonest phenomenon unfolding and that is: FLOOR CROSSING. For example: A Candidate joins the Conservative Party, gets voted in as a “Conservative”, and then after the election, crosses the floor to the Liberal Party. This has been going on at both the federal and provincial levels, and there is no law against this dishonest practice.
Whether there are two parties, or three, or four – if this kind of dishonest practice is normalised, then what is the meaning of one’s vote that has been cast?
Multiple political parties just makes for more politicking among a group of like minded individuals who’ve agreed to agree and disagree on hot button social issues geared to get them elected.

Yes – and even so – even despite that Canada has more political parties than the USA, I have never, ever found a single party that ever speaks to the umbrella of my personal (pro-life) values, so I tend to find election time painful. Also sensing the emptiness in the election promises and disingenuousness in the eyes of those who make the promises.
Kinda sad the Greek society and the Enlightenment seem to be the historical peaks in our present world.
