When M.I. shared this story, I knew I would have to blog about it, because we’ve been watching a slow meltdown occurring within society. We might call it “internet psychosis,” the latest manifestation of a long list of internet-associated behaviors that are spreading quickly around the world. In Communist China, for example, many people in…
Have a few exploratory interactions with ChatGPT. I found it to sometimes be wide ranginging its scope of analysis alright but very superficial in its responses not forgeting the GIGO principle. Not sure how a relationship could arise or develop out of that scenario. But then the interaction rate is low for me.
When I chanced upon reading this article yesterday my immediate thoughts were incredulous, nah, this is probably AI generated based on a request for a science fiction story about computers and published as fake news. I still find it difficult to believe. Evidently demons hiding in some users are nourished with AI interaction.
Remember the 5th of November?
In other words: Never forget that in 5th generation warfare, aka PsyWar - the battle is for control of
the mind, emotions, thoughts, and ALL information that an individual is exposed to.
The only way to win?
DON’T PLAY!
As soon as one engages with either corporate or social media, one enters the battlefield.
Many here have played with this PsyFire - and been BURNED!
For to even merely defend ones self, people must learn their opponent’s technologies, and strategies. The PsyWar battlefield terrain is tortuous, bizarre, constantly shifting, and dangerous to mental health. Our opponents make no distinctions between combatants and noncombatants, and they recognize
NO MORAL BOUNDARIES!
It should go without saying!
The social media battlefield?
FOR ADULTS ONLY.
And them tread carefully…
We’ve got a lot of mixed feelings about the AI stuff, and are also concerned about people who rely too much on the online world. – And, often, where businesses choose to use AI, there is no flexibility to make any adjustments tailored to an individual’s needs, so we get de-personalized. I’ve often been frustrated when phoning a business to get help resolving a technical issue (e.g., phone company, mail delivery service, etc.,) only to be shunted to a BOT – which cannot help at all, and wastes my time. I have to repeat several times “Please, I would like to speak with a HUMAN”. Once the actual human gets onto the line, then we make progress in solving the issue.
On the other hand, we enjoy your web site, vid chats, and forum – and those things can’t come about without use of computers, and for this we’re grateful. Although in this case, it’s still just a tool that helps access the thinking of actual people, as opposed to programmed bots. (Although a few times, we have wondered if certain spammers on the forum may have been bots, given the nature of their linguistic patterns).
We recently read, with interest, how a man in the UK has launched a petition to ensure that people retain a choice to remain free of the digital world, so that they aren’t forced to access services with devices. I hope that idea spreads.
CYRUS A. PARSA warned us years ago that he had discovered an “extinction code” for Humanity had already been written into whatever it is that is going on!!! Hmmmm…Where is he now!!!
