This may be controversial; however, fracking in shale reserves is cheaper than traditional deep well drilling. Producers can at least call it even just below $50Bb but traditional won’t start up until numbers are closer to $75 and above. Drillers, welders and pipe fitters have been out of work for 2+years and jobs are frantically being filled from Louisiana/TX to Alberta, CA. This translates to thousands of decent paying jobs across both countries.
