Thanks for the Saturday morning cartoons. I was 8 years old when these Wally Gator cartoons were on TV in 1961. I don’t remember watching him but Hanna-Barbera seemed to have quite a few cartoon shows for kids. Now as an adult the themes and plots take on a whole new meaning in a social context way. The zookeeper’s mustache reminds me of the Nazis Hitler’s idol and the zoo as the security of a controlled environment, much like promises of the future technocratic state!
