It would be relevant, unless of course, the Cold War and essentially every dialectical tension strategy post-WW2 was a deliberately engineered kayfabe. The US, Russia, China, and Iran could perform any number of debilitating asymmetrical strikes on one another. Unless of course a organizing principle above the geopolitical were at work, moving all actors toward a higher set of goals.
