AUGUST 5th SHILOH UPDATE

Hi friends,

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers for my little Shiloh. She is moderately better, but continues to be a little wobbly. She needs to eat and drink more, though she has started to do so a little since the spells started last Sunday. I will have my blogging email review this Sunday, and if she continues to improve, will schedule blogs. I am not anticipating having to cancel or reschedule the Friday Aug 14th vidchat but remember to check the forum for any revisions… she’s not out of the woods yet, and I’m hoping she will continue to improve slowly. Thank you all again.

Continued prayers and candles Doc…

Incidentally I had a potential dog at the local shelter that I’d planned to foster. The shelter is overflowing due to time of year and state of the economy so any given pupper tends to have about 2 months tops unless a staff favorite. With all my hospital visits and recovery time I was only able to check on him by phone and one visit through the glass (got there too early).

Today I started to feel a bit better and went to pick him up only to find out they had put him down on the 30th of last month. Nothing behavioral, great little doggo…just no room and someone had to go. It happens everyday but sometimes one is reminded how brutal life can be when this type of situation presents itself.

Hope for a fast and complete recovery for Shilo. Don’t worry too much about keeping up.

His name was Bradley by the way…

Every day I go through notices of lost dogs…and it’s the same situation here… It breaks my heart. My little Shiloh came to me after being through four shelters in two states… no one wanted her because she has some incontinence problems due to her abuse… but she is a sweet loving smart little fur girl in spite of that… and lots of miracles worked (if you don’t know the story) of how I got her. Some prayers for Bradley tonigh; I do pray for lots of departed dogs and their people…

Many thanks Doc. This one hit me kind of hard. Wish I could have made it sooner…even though you can’t save them all.
