Anymore, I just assume every news story about this kind of incident – regardless of whatever the facts may be – will immediately be used to push somebody’s political agenda. In this case, I presume, the agenda to disarm the population and keep the divide-and-conquer going by trying to whip up racial animosity between Americans.

Excellent selection. Thank you for finding and posting. An actual journalist exposing insider shenanigans of his trade is refreshing. We all know the news hounds are used to promote agendas. They do seem to want a dog fight with Carlson.
The last sentence provides the perfect synopsis of how ideas can be used for fodder and conviction in the public sphere.
