But Pope Francis has no objection to the most anti-Christian of all versions of Gnosticism - the version of Gnosticism known as Socialism.

I wish we could read St Irenaeus’s original words instead of having to rely on Latin and Armenian translations. But the translations are better than nothing, and the very holy and very orthodox saint’s promotion to a “doctor” in the comical Roman system may encourage people to read his writings, which is much to be desired. In my opinion St Irenaeus is the most helpful of the pre-Nicene Fathers by a long way.

Understanding Violence in the Old Testament?

I have never understood and I don’t believe I ever will understand the violence in the Old Testament!
Except that it is violence and nothing more!
" Gnosticism is the most enduring heresy in the history of the Church. We fight it almost every generation "
Key words! heresy, that is, different knowledge or seeing things, and they always fight and will fight against the very thought of different knowledge and points of view.
In this manner or way they express themselves who they are, what they are and who they represent in this world!

Find me his (Pope Francis) exact words/writings promoting or agreeing with a socialist theories/dogmas, dear Peter.
