A similar principle are found on the Russian VA-111 Shkval supercavitating torpedoes using air instead.
Now its claimed only 4 countries have supercavitating technology deployed , USA one who does not
but prototyping but one who has is Germany whos work seams to be dating back to the Bodenseewerke Gerätetechnik GmbH and Diehl Munitionssysteme GmbH who was very active in the 1940ies with very advanced physics and armament and research.
