When did we decide to ditch these ideals. Every culture has their versions and definitions but most will converge on agreeing in the notion and value of them.
So why did the West decide to jettison their versions and subjugate to commercialism, globalism and value others’ versions over our own?
I don’t have an analysis, a source or a pithy dissertation to offer, just a profund bereavement around how and why we allowed it to happen, to the point that perhaps maybe we don’t deserve these transcentals or our culture any longer.
Being transcentals they exist outside the remit of the individual ego, and perhaps materialism, absence of the Divine, selfcentredness and lack of confidence/insecurity which I think may be derivative at least, if not fundamental, to that disconnection/discontinuity to them.
I don’t really know why- if I’m being honest .
