it is no wonder that Musk (whom you may like or not) bought Twitter/X. on the other hand the USSA has an ‘antisemitic’ problem.
this now, not even encroaching censure of free speech, clearly indicates where Europe is heading. it is a collective psychosis.
reminds me of the scene when Jesus is before Pilatus, - I do not remember who wrote the story as such - and he asks whom should he let go, Barabbas or Jesus. and individually everybody says ‘Jesus’, but collectively it hears as ‘Barabbas’. I know it’s not a totally befitting parallel, but what I try to point out is, that our collective measures and systems had been totally hijacked in the name of safety/security/democracy.
if I ever join an election, I will tell the constituents, that after I get elected I’ll become a democ-rat… just like the wolf promised to become a vegetarian… and they will vote for me !(?)
on the other hand, I believe westerners should embrace home-schooling, and should not give a flying halberd to the present state (of affairs). almost all the westerners - even the so called rightwingers - have become socommies in their thinking, and the public sector became the new Church, with the servants as new priests of the ‘God-Emperor’ of Europe.
I mean who was Europe? she was abducted by Zeus to be flurry-fuffed, and Zeus was not a boy to trifled with or spoken against. which leads us to the original and ultimate 64K question:
who IS Mr. Globalooney who wants to sit on the throne as sovereign?

Loved your analogy…
“…just like the wolf promised to become a vegetarian…” !!

AND, might Mr. Globalooney; be under an unseen - GALACTIC HAND?

I agree with you!
Sadly, many parents leave it to Wokedom to school their kids.
For anyone in a region in which Homeschooling is not verbotten (as I think it may be in Germany, if I understood correctly what a few Germans have told me) – it is high time to take very seriously the raising and rearing and education of one’s own offspring, and not leave it to governments to mess their minds.

From a speech by the late John Taylor Gatto (renowned American high school teacher):

The truth is that schools don’t really teach anything except how to obey orders.

Here is another curiosity to think about. The homeschooling movement has quietly grown to a size where one and a half million young people are being educated entirely by their own parents. Last month the education press reported the amazing news that children schooled at home seem to be five or even ten years ahead of their formally trained peers in their ability to think.

… a recent article about the lack of students for college classrooms … it is connected to the last few comments in this thread in that neither the article nor the numerous comments realize they have omitted what is most likely THE major cause of the lack of college students. They omit the fact that a vast number of high school “graduates” lack the skills that would make them capable of even minimal performance at the college Freshman level. When you include minimal levels of literacy, lack of basic language skills, non-existent attention spans, lack of social interaction skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary development, smart phone addiction, and last but not least, lack of critical thinking and reasoning skills … empty desks? … but of course.

@Scarmoge: agreed. and it is not a bug of the system, it is the feature. just take a look at the rigorous Prussian model of teaching the late Communist bloc states used to sport. they gave classes to their Western counterparts on every level. (still doing it in medical and real sciences) now after 36 years this advantage mostly melted away, after implementing the Western liberal nivellation. but Russia still has the most literate population of the globe.

It’s not just lack of ability, it’s the cost.
As the article says, it’s too cost prohibitive to go to University, and is it worth that money nowadays? Of course not.
What the MSM is afraid to admit, outside of the tiny percentage of illiterates and AI psychosis patients, the majority realise that their time and money are better served getting jobs on ‘the economy,’ doing the trades, like plumbing, electricity, handy man, etc vs a piece of paper about Gender Studies.
The MSM (even locally - I am in CO) loves to push things like Pride Month, and Democrat this anti Trump that, but the boots on the ground opinion is generally far different.
Even in Boulder County, when some ‘boomer’ starts an anti Trump rant at the bar, most everyone ignores him.
Everyone is tired of politics, and tired of being treated like a child.
They want to learn useful skills, and are not willing to entrust their kids to a broken system or to a University that is a waste of money.

As planned and/or engineered.

… as I always say Choice before Necessity! … some places will reach the point of necessity well before others.

Before the point of no return?

ACT NOW…,
While you still have wind in your sails.
Or
Are They already…
Dead in the water?

… What would you bet that 1-3 years from now we will be hearing how all of this money “disappeared” into helping the 1.8 million recently “found” amnesty migrants in Spain with nothing going to help actual Spaniards?
