... but will DO NOTHING ABOUT IT ... again ... and again ... and again ... ad nauseam

… yes, yes please o’senators tell us of your moral outrage … we’re all ears … I would say that they are worthless, but that would not be true as they have all increased their net worth since being select … er ah … “elected”.

You know… they recycle these stories every so often. What I’m wondering is: is there a regular periodicity to them? That is to say: are they simply recycled automatically and inserted into the “news” by some machine and/or committee?

congressional oversight of intelligence activities is ongoing. the issues are constant: authority to engage in an operation, use of funds, collections of information and measures to redact incidental information, and misuse of information.

But ongoing and on a fixed schedule?

… of course, and this isn’t the only “story” that is used in this manner … everyone knows this is going on … the pressure of that collective knowledge periodically needs to be released. Unfortunately people see this kind of article and think, “Oh good. Now maybe they’ll do something about this” … but of course NOTHING IS EVER DONE, NO ACTION ever occurs, never, never, never … ad infinitum.
