Some scorched earthing going on at the Yucatan Peninsula. And Venezuela, Columbia, Guyana, Guatemala to name a few others. Lots of black dots and smoke plumes. Oilfield highlighted in red, pretty late in the day.
Thank you for posting; I did not see the hot spots out at sea when I looked at this region this morning.

Akal is one of a dozen or so oil fields situated some 100km offshore.
