Britain’s monkeypox outbreak today nearly tripled in size as health officials confirmed another 37 patients have caught the tropical virus.
UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) bosses have now logged 57 cases in little over a fortnight. At least one child has been sickened. No-one has died yet.
Authorities described the outbreak — which has disproportionately struck gay and bisexual men — as ‘significant and concerning’ but insisted the risk to the UK population remains low.

The NHS deleted key excerpts from its website stating monkeypox is: “usually a mild illness that will get better on its own without treatment” and….”it’s very uncommon to get monkeypox from a person with the infection because it does not spread easily between people.” They added an isolation requirement .

This is on the front page of the Seattle Times today, King County is investigating “the first presumptive case of Monkey-Pox in Washington State” announce the so-called “public health-officials” yesterday.
There is no suspected local outbreak of this, and this single case is not considered to be high-risk.
As of last week, there have supposedly been 80 confirmed monkey-pox cases worldwide.
They’re taking a wide aim at the youth now. Most didn’t get the smallpox scratch like us old farts. They will terrify them with the thought of pox scars for life & this one might really work. Not any way to hide it as you could covid. “Vanity, all is vanity” (of a different sort this time).
